SVRC Is Now Open in Palo Alto
Jan 15, 2026 — By Jerry Huang
Silicon Valley Robotics Center is now officially open in Palo Alto, creating a new home for robotics, AI, and real-world experimentation in the middle of the Bay Area builder ecosystem.
SVRC was designed as a space where researchers, founders, engineers, students, and operators can work closer to live hardware and practical deployment questions. Instead of treating robotics as something that only happens in isolated labs, the center brings systems, data workflows, demonstrations, and technical exchange into one shared environment.

Why Palo Alto
Opening in Palo Alto puts SVRC near the communities already shaping the next wave of robotics and embodied AI. That proximity matters. Teams move faster when they can see systems in person, compare platforms side by side, and have direct conversations about data collection, evaluation, repair, deployment, and real operating constraints.
What the Center Is Built For
SVRC combines several things that are often fragmented elsewhere: hands-on robot access, product showcase, technical guidance, events, and a community layer that helps people discover what is actually working in physical AI. The goal is to make the center useful both for people evaluating hardware and for teams trying to build repeatable learning and deployment loops around it.
Visitors can expect live robotics systems, working demos, technical discussions, and programming that connects research ideas to practical implementation. Over time, that includes workshops, community gatherings, and more opportunities for teams to test how hardware, data, and software fit together in a real environment.
A Place for Builders and the Broader Community
While the center is highly practical, it is also meant to be welcoming to a broader audience interested in the future of robotics. Founders can explore platforms, researchers can discuss evaluation and datasets, students can learn from real systems, and local communities can see how embodied intelligence is moving from concept into operation.
We are excited to open the doors and continue building SVRC into a place where ideas become working machines.
